Mr. Butler was born April 23, 1991 to Rufus Butler and Susan Price in Corinth, MS. He was self-employed as a Videographer. Cody had a servant’s heart for others and was always willing to share his talents. He lived by the motto “be kind” and wanted others to spread that message. His love for life and those around him could not be measured. He was a child at heart and was always quick to play with his nephews and niece as often as he could. To make people smile, and simply create laughter and joy, he would dress up as Batman and other famous characters. Cody found his calling in all things film and videography. With a camera in his hand, he joyfully captured numerous major family events: births, weddings, birthdays, plays and ball games; even delivering those special moments for complete strangers. His genuine compassion and empathy for his family, church, and so many close friends will live on forever.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents: Robert Grady and Mary Ellen Norcross Price, Paternal Grandfather: Walter Anderson and Rosie Lee

Cody leaves a huge hole in this world. I loved knowing him and having him in our home during his teenage years hanging out with my son, Allen Millican. Running into him these days in town was a ray of sunshine. Cody loved his Lord and his family with passion. I can hear it: well done My good and faithful servant. ❤️

I had the honor of meeting Cody through a shared passion for filming, I noticed Immediately that he was very kind-hearted very giving and very thoughtful, I also noticed that Cody loved the lord, and the fruit of that love was evident in his life, as he was patient, kind, selfless, and genuine. He truly did possess a servants heart, he was loving, forgiving, a faithful friend, and a joy to know. His presence will be greatly missed but never forgotten. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord”
