Sammy Egbert Parker

Celebration of Life for Mr. Sammy Egbert Parker , 77, will be 2pm Saturday November 30, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Michie, TN with Bro. Danny white, Dr. Ben Martin and Dr. Shawn Parker officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00Am until service time Saturday at the Church.
Mr. Parker passed this life on Monday November 25, 2024, at his residence.
He was born on March 03, 1947, to Norvin and Madeline Sego Parker in Hardin County, TN. Mr. Parker was a veteran, having served in the US Army. He was an Engineer with Kansas City Southern Railroad and a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Todd Parker
Those to carry on his memory include his wife, Sheila Parker of Michie, TN, daughters: Tonya Williams (Walter) of  Michie, TN, Daughter-in-law: Jill Parker of Selmer, TN, Brothers: Vic Parker (Elaine) of  Michie, TN, Wayne Parker (Peggy) of Michie, TN. a host of loving Nephews, Great Nephews, and Great Nieces, special Great Nephew: Benton Dees,  special Great Niece: Darby Dees.             

  Pallbearers are: Rod Parker, Shawn Parker, Terrell Parker, Chris Parker, Mitch Key, Jeremiah Dees. Honorary Pallbearers are: Danny White, J C Cooper, and all fellow Railroad Buddies.                       In lieu of Flowers the family asks that you donate the First Baptist Church of Michie, TN building fund.  P O Box 209 Michie, TN 38357

    I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Sammy….he was such a precious friend and he will be missed….my heart is heavy for his wife Shelia who i know is hurting…but he is with his son and they are both looking down from heaven on Shelia and will always be there by her side….there are so many good times to think about to help with the pain and it will get easier as time goes by….may God bless his family in a special way….

    Sheila, Tonya, Walter and Jill, so sorry to hear of the passing of Sammy. We’ve only knew you all a few years but Bill and I thought a lot of Sammy. We always enjoyed being with you and Sammy at Kathy and B.W.’s outings. I know you are hurting and lost without him. Please take care of yourself, he would want you to. Sorry we could not be there, we were out of town all last week and didn’t get home in time to be there. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you. PEGGY AND BILL HOWELL
