Clifton Eugene Young

Mr. Clifton Eugene Young, 94, died at Magnolia Regional Health Center on Thursday January 30, 2025. Services will be Saturday 02-01-2025 at 2:00PM at Corinthian Funeral Home Chapel with Marty Young officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00Noon until service time at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fraleys Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Young was born on May 21, 1930 in Tishomingo County Mississippi to John and Ollie Moore Young. He was a retired employee of Dana Corporation.

Mr. Young served in the US Army. He was a Christian. He wrote several books of poems and hymns. Mr. Young also played minor league baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wives: Vaunita Young and Elsie Young, Son: Daniel Young, Brothers: Jeff Young (Margie), Kenneth Young (Marcell)

Those left to cherish his memory include his Nephews: Phillip Young (Joan), Tim Young (Lisa), Mike Young (Janet), Marty Young (Christine).          

The Corinthian Funeral Home is honored to serve the Young family.

    It was an honor to get to know and take care of Mr Young during his time at MSCC. Well miss his singing hymns and telling stories..the books he wrote he was so proud of and loved to give to the staff. He will be dearly missed. Praying for his family and MSCC fanily.

    Mr.Young was a very sweet hearted man. I will miss him so much. I was his CNA, I drove him to his appointments where he would sing and sing, then I started making his meals and he always wanted me to stop and talk with him. Fly high my angel you will be missed so much.
