Mr. Russell Lee Deaton, 85, died February 05, 2026 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS. Services will take place at his residence 131 Yon-O-Main Trail in Tupelo, MS on Sunday February 08, 2026 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Dennis Deaton officiating.Committal and Burial will take place at Gilvo Cemetery in Tupelo, MS, immediately after the service. Mr. Deaton was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on April26, 1940 to Artlee and Elizabeth Rickman Deaton. He was a retired Truck Driver. Mr. Deaton was a member of the East Main Church of Christ in Tupelo, MS.
He was preceded in death by: Parents, Wife: Norma Louise Deaton,Brothers: Maury Deaton (Francis), Neal Deaton (Nelda), and Dwaine Deaton.
Those left to cherish and remember himinclude, Daughters: Norma Jean Mounce (Shawn), Stephanie LeighBland, and Vida Elizabeth Deaton, all of Tupelo, Ms, Sister-in-Law: Brenda Deatonof Michie, TN, Grandchildren: John DeatonMounce (Braigen), Sarah Elizabeth Mounce, Morgan LeighStevens (Hunter), Hannah Danielle Bland, and Haden ThomasBland, Great Grandchildren: Raileigh Mounce, Eliana Bland, Baylor Mounce. and Riley Stevens.
