James Paul Gibens

James Paul Gibens, 69, gained his heavenly wings Friday January 09, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southhaven, Mississippi. Services are planned for Saturday January 17, 1:00 pm at the Corinthian Funeral Home Chapel Church with Bro. Brian Flanagan officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00 am until service time at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Gibens was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 16, 1956, to J. P. and Katherine Peters Gibens. He was retired from Caterpillar.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Butch and Harold Bray.

Those left to cherish his memory include his Wife: Janet Gibens of Corinth, Mississippi, Sons: John Eric Gibens of Griffith, Indiana, Joshua Nicholas Gibens of Corinth, Mississippi, Shawn Lorell Steen of Corinth, Mississippi Daughters: Brandi Corbin (Michael) of Oxford, Mississippi, Brittney Katherine Austin (Dustin) of Corinth, Mississippi, Mandy Annette Steen (Jamie) of Corinth, Mississippi, Sister: Charlotte McGue of Chicago, Illinois, Grandchildren: Naomi Pollard, Haley Gibens, Celsi Godwin, Breanna Gibens, Olivia Gibens, Johnny Gibens, Sarah Jo Gibens, Kayla Corbin, Katie Modlin, Kailynn Cheburini, Levi Austin, Chainey Flanagan, and 8 Great Grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Joshua Gibens, John Gibens, Bobby Bradley, John Bradley, Jamie Henderson, Shawn Steen.

The family requests that donations be made to the funeral home for expenses
