Mr. Larry Dean Burbank died at his residence on January 31, 2026. Services are planned for February 21, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Corinthian Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Haynie officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time. Burial will take place at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Glen, MS.
A loving and devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Born in Hutchinson, Reno, Kansas to Kenneth Burbank and Nerma Sue Shinkle. Mr Larry valued education. After graduation from Nickerson High School in 1979, he enlisted into service in the United States Air Force. He served as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic after training at the USAF Technical training center in Illinois. While stationed at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida, he received many awards, commendations, medals, and ribbons. He also received a certificate of appreciation from William Tell in 1984. Larry participated in the Florida Special Olympics in 1988 and was recognized with a letter of appreciation from the Non Commissioned Officers Association and the Joseph P Kennedy Jr Foundation.
Sargeant Larry D Burbank served with Love and Honor until the time of his honorable discharge due to health issues in 1990. As a disabled veteran Larry continued his education at Hutchinson Community College from 1992-1994 and was a certified member of the Deans Honor Roll. He attended Northeast Community College from 1994-1996 earning a 4.0 Grade Point Average. He was named to the President’s list for outstanding academic achievement in 1995.
Larry enjoyed drawing, working on design programs on his computer, woodworking projects, raising animals, and country music. He spent lots of time helping others.
Mr. Burbank was preceded in death by his Father: Kenneth Burbank, Step-Father: Loren Seeney, Brother: David Burbank, Sister: Terry Burbank Blair, Wife of 26 years: Sylvia Diane Burbank, and the Daughter he raised: Crystal Hope Spears.
Those left to cherish his memory are Mother: Nerma Seeney, Brothers: Roger Burbank and Dennis Burbank, Sister: Peggy Yabora, Daughter: Angela Morrow Prior, Son: Bobby Morrow, Nephews: Rusty Burbank, Jaskcon Burbank, Nieces: Starla Rhoton, Riley, Burbank,
9 Grandchildren: Robert Lambert, Christopher Logan Jones, Jyllian Jones, Micah Jones, Jayda Spears, Kailynn Spears, Tawny Morrow, Jackson Morrow, Sylvia Morrow, 3 Great Grandchildren: Eden, Hattie, and Waylon.
