Services for Mr. Gary R. Strickland, 77, will be 2pm Tuesday September 15, 2026, at Tate Baptist Church with Bro. Daniel Jones and Bro. Ben Martin officiating. Interment will be in Magnolia Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until service time at the church.
Mr. Strickland entered into the arms of his Lord Sunday September 13, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
He was born in Corinth, Mississippi on June 4, 1949, to Albert W. and Ellen Newell Strickland. He was a member of Tate Baptist Church and a retired painter and construction.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Paulette “Polly” Strickland, children: Gary Randall Strickland, Jr., Kimberly Strickland, and Cynthia Floyd, his siblings: Audie Strickland, Fred Strickland, Pete Strickland, Betty Jourdan, Vernie Worsham, and Ruth Vanderford.
Those to carry on his memory includes: his grandchildren: Alece Floyd and Alek Floyd both Glen, his great grandchildren: Skylar Cox, Olivia Floyd, Atlas Floyd of Glen, his special friend Teresa Tennison of Corinth, one sister: Jean Latch Jasper, Alabama, three brothers: Donnie Strickland of Eastview, Tenn., Albert “Peanut” Strickland and Lester “Junior” Strickland, and a host of nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
